Hydroponics... I can't find good data anywhere!

I'm having a hard time finding good data on hydroponics. Everything I've read from people that use it say it has high yields AND you don't have to constantly water the crops! THEY'RE STANDING IN IT! I'm sure it has a higher energy use as the system applied becomes more complex, but it can't be as bad as running tractors to till or mobilizing gigantic irrigation systems.

So, what I'm trying to find out is if there are crops that make hydroponics too difficult to implement on them. Also, I'm trying to figure out if the higher yield per acre is due to a higher plant density per acre. I know that plants are supposed to have either 30% larger OR 30% MORE crop production. Not sure which, though. I think this is quite interesting stuff.

We really need to stop with the CO2 psychobabble. People that really care about the environment shouldn't just shoot for doing less, they should shoot for doing more with less.

First Post of (Hopefully) Many

Well, this is the first post in my blog. Hopefully the few people I know and the billions I don't will have a look soon. I plan on posting a few opinions and many facts every day.

I do have my first dilemma, however. I have many ideas for mini-books that I would like to write. I placed a poll on my blog to get input on which idea I should use first. Zombie Survivalist is meant as a guide on surviving not only "grid failure" but also "rule-of-law failure," where it's every family for themselves. Short-Term Survivalist is meant for dealing with just "grid failure," which is only survival to a point and the rest is dealing with lost comforts. Facts About Politics is going to discuss the many labels political types use and examine political spectrums in a three-dimensional way, which I have yet to see happen anywhere before. Critical Thinker is going to be about using critical thinking and common sense to understand how everyone from the media to your favorite food producers misinform you with twisted data.

I really would like to work on the Facts About Politics book first, but I think that it may turn into a full-sized book that I may wish to make money off of. These mini-books are meant to be free. Choices, choices, huh?
